Interconnection of Photovoltaic Power Plant in Mount Menoikio
34 km
150kV High voltage transmission line
Challenges
Geomorphological characteristics & Routing: The area in Mount Menoikio is rocky and topographically difficult, with steep slopes that make the 150kV high voltage transmission line routing challenging. Extensive surveying using a LiDAR system was required to accurately map the terrain and final route selection.
Construction Requirements: Due to the natural geomorphological characteristics of the area, several modifications to the original design had to be made to avoid construction issues and ensure the resilience of the 150kV high voltage transmission line.
How the project will be completed
Using the topographic data obtained through our LiDAR system, studies were completed for the selection of the optimal route for the 150kV transmission line that minimizes the environmental impact and facilitates the construction works.
Collaboration with Local Authorities: The permitting process required collaboration with local agencies to ensure that the project was compatible with local land uses.
